Wed, Dec 20- Students who participate in the Accelerated Reading program should bring their library book to school and be ready to take a comprehension test. We will collect the books and new library books will be given out after the break. There will not be time to take a test on Thursday, so please don’t forget your book. Children who do not yet participate in this program should continue to study and memorize their sight words so that they may begin to check out books after the break.
Thurs, Dec 21 – Student Body Mass – Kindergartners are the only grade not wearing Formal Uniform this Mass. Kindergartners will be wearing their dress up clothes for the TK/K Christmas Concert. Dismissal will be from your child’s classroom immediately after the concert. Don’t forget to bring your tote bag!

TOMORROW is  FR. RUDY  RECYCLE DRIVE  FOR  MAAGLO PROJECT
Don't forget this Tuesday, #GivingTuesday, we will hold a one day recycle drive for Fr. Rudy Alumam's Maaglo Project. The Maaglo Project helps provide clean water, school lunches, and school supplies to small communities outside of Ghana. Bring in your plastic water bottles and aluminum cans, separated if possible, to the drop-off located near the Ed. Building between 7:15-8:30am. Let's work together to help those in need.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
In the spirit of #GivingTuesday, we are looking for some volunteers to help with our recycle drive this Tuesday, November 28th at morning drop-off. We need folks that can help collect, sort, and drive our recyclables to the recycling center. Any amount of time is appreciated! Contact Lisa Sambrano at lsambrano@stischoolcypress.org.

We are also collecting monetary donations in buckets in our classrooms.

Recycling for Fr. Rudy

As part of this movement we are partnering with Fr. Rudy Alumam and his Maaglo Project which provides clean water, food, and learning supplies to communities outside of Ghana.  We will hold a one-day recycling drive on Tuesday, November 28th here at St. I.  Please save up your plastic bottles and aluminum cans.  All proceeds from the recycling drive will be donated to Fr. Tuesday Morning Faculty Prayer
Every Tuesday morning the teachers meet to pray together at 7:30 a.m.  In kindergarten we take turns attending the prayer meeting each week.  This is a time when students in other grades line-up outside their classroom.  Since we welcome you to come into the classroom each morning upon arrival, on Tuesdays we will welcome all students into one open kindergarten classroom, so that we may both attend this prayer group twice each month.

RESPECT LIFE BABY SHOWER

Our 8th grade class will be hosting a "baby shower" with all proceeds benefiting the Precious Life Shelter in Los Alamitos during the month of October. Baby items may be dropped off in the playpen in front of the School Office. They will also be collecting recyclables (plastic water bottles and aluminum cans) to raise funds to purchase items for the shelter. Recyclables may be dropped off in Room 8 throughout the month. Thank you for supporting this worthwhile project!
